Connect Instagram
The professional account requirement, OAuth, and tester mode.
What you need
- An Instagram professional account: creator or business. Personal accounts can't use the messaging API, switch in Instagram under Settings → Account type and tools.
- Permission to manage integrations in your chatlasso workspace (Owner and Admin roles have it).
Connect the account
- Integrations → Connect Instagram. You're sent to Instagram's own consent screen; approve the messaging permissions.
- Back in chatlasso, the card shows your @username. Flows now run on that account.
- To switch accounts later, disconnect and connect the new one, flows continue from the next message.
While the platform's Meta app is in development mode, only Instagram accounts added as testers in the Meta app can connect. Ask us at hello@chatlasso.com to be added, or wait for the app's public launch.
