Create a flow
Trigger words, the reply, the button, and the link.
The anatomy of a flow
A flow is one automation: a trigger (a comment on a post/reel, or a DM), the trigger words that fire it, the first reply (sent as a DM, usually carrying a button), and the link message delivered after the tap.
- Flows → New flow. Name it after the reel or offer, e.g. "Reel guide giveaway".
- Pick the trigger: Comment on a post/reel, or Direct message.
- Enter trigger words, comma-separated: "link, guide". Matching is case-insensitive; contains matches anywhere in the text.
- Write the first reply and the button label, then the link message that lands after the tap.
- Save. The flow is live immediately; toggle it off any time from the table.
Reply-only by design, per Meta policy: chatlasso only ever messages people who acted first (commented, DMed, or tapped). No cold outreach, ever.
Test without Instagram
In development mode the Flows page shows a simulator: type a comment or DM, tap the button, and walk the whole flow, follow gate included, through the real pipeline without touching Instagram.
